Back to School TPT Sale!

I love TPT sales! I always get such useful things from TPT. This time I'm joining the What’s in Your Cart? BTS 2015 Linky Party hosted by Speech Room News.

I am having a limited sale on my new products at Teachers Pay Teachers. 10% off during the summer sale on August 3 & 4 to introduce items I created this summer:

1. Beginning Rhyming Cards

These cards are to teach the concept of rhyming. They are perfect for my kiddos who are working on phonological awareness - some of them just don't understand rhyming and this set breaks it down for them.

2. Antonyms - Upper Elementary Level

These cards go beyond the basic antonyms in most commercial card decks. I found myself needing these for those kiddos who have memorized the "easy" antonyms and need practice with more difficult concepts.

3. Taking Perspective Matrix

For those tasks that are so difficult to simply record as wrong or right, I develop matrices to score responses. This is one that breaks down understanding perspectives and is really good for those kids working on perspective taking pragmatic skills.

4. Identifying Emotions Matrix

Another task I had difficulty scoring simply as wrong or right. This matrix helps break down identifying complex emotions and connecting them to daily life.

5. Safety Scenarios Problem Solving Cards

I created these for students working on life skills tasks, but they are also a great conversation starter for elementary and middle school students. They are great for working on syntax and self-expression.

6. Context Clues - Middle School Set 2

Because my students just can't get enough practice on this important skill, I made even more context clue cards. Each vocabulary word was chosen from the list “100 Words Every Middle Schooler Should Know” by American Heritage Dictionary. Each sentence, other than the target word, is intended to be easy vocabulary even for students reading below grade level to concentrate on the skill of using context clues.

7. Basic Emotions Sorting Cards

I needed an easy way to work on simple emotions with a few kindergarteners and this sorting task came together. After we worked on it in the speech room, I put them in a task box in the resource room, and they were able to work on it on their own!

All of these products will be discounted during the 2-day TPT sale at my store: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Mrs-Speech

What's in my cart?

1. Speech Articulation Flashcards Growing BUNDLE

This is a unique bundle that was created in response to my request on TPT - 248 (and growing) speech articulation flash cards for children with apraxia of speech to practice specific motor sequencing skills. This is particularly useful for children who are having difficulty with the basic CV-CVC-CVCV sequence approach. These sets allow the child to practice each motor sequence (bilabial-bilabial, bilabial-alveolar, bilabial-velar, etc) until mastered before moving to the next sequence. I am super excited to use these!

2. Interactive Articulation Flip Book Bundle

I'm hoping this will help keep my articulation students busy practicing their sound when it is not their turn!

3. Speech and Language Flipbooks

These are perfect for a beginning of the year activity to discuss goals and ways to practice skills.

4. At School! An Interactive Book about the School Day

This is one of several interactive books I have wish listed from this author. I think it will be perfect to talk about school vocabulary with my incoming kindergarteners with developmental delays.
